BIOSTATISTICAL CONSULTANCY STANDARDS
"It has thus become increasingly important that the teaching of good medical research methods be expanded to scientists and institutions in low and middle-income countries that face major health challenges in the decades ahead. There is a critical shortage of technical skills in these countries--and for that matter in first-world nations--of researchers who are imbued with a deep understanding of the fundamental ideas underlying the successful design and analysis of medical and public health research studies.Such ideas must necessarily incorporate the latest algorithms and statistical approaches afforded by the computing and communication revolutions,in addition to the essential ethics of experimentation, policy advising and reporting to our communities regarding the public’s health."
